Fox 4 Highlights MedCAD’s 9 Year Summer Internship Program in Partnership with Ursuline Academy

Celebrating 9 Years of Learning

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, Fox 4 News highlighted MedCAD’s nine-year summer internship partnership with Ursuline Academy of Dallas. Jennifer Wilson, Ursuline’s internship coordinator, along with three of MedCAD’s summer interns, joined Nancy Hairston and her team for a tour, lunch, and a recap of the internship experience and everything the students had learned over their two-week programs.

This highly rewarding internship program provides high school students with hands-on experience in the biomedical engineering field alongside the MedCAD team. Interns work closely with design engineers, quality specialists, and manufacturing technicians to learn how patient-specific implants, cutting guides, plates, and surgical plans are developed—from initial concept through final production.

The program has been equally rewarding for both the interns and the MedCAD team members who mentor them, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for summers to come.
